The Hummingbird Festival
Hogansville’s signature event is the annual Hummingbird Festival. Held in the downtown area on the third weekend in October, the festival draws over ten thousand people to town. Like an old-fashioned street fair, the festival includes over 200 arts and crafts booths; a large food court offering southern and international favorites; children’s rides; a variety of musical performances throughout the weekend; and a Saturday night street dance. Pre-festival fundraising events include a golf tournament and a dinner dance with silent auction.

The festival is produced by the Hogansville Charitable Trust, a non-profit organization. The Trust has raised and donated over $100,000 for downtown redevelopment projects, including the city Tower Trail currently under construction. The success of the festival is a result of the coordinated effort of many dedicated local volunteers.
